So you want to become a Self-Actualized Woman? You’ve come to the right place.

I want to feel loved, happy and self-actualized. You like the sound of that, but may be asking “What is a Self-Actualized Woman?” Well first, a brief psychology lesson based on Abraham Maslow’s theory of hierarchy of needs.

Humans have a drive toward self-actualization, or aka fully developing one’s abilities and realizing one’s potential. But according to Maslow, one cannot fully realize this without securing basic needs such as food and shelter, love and belonging, and self esteem. Then, up the pyramid we all go as we obtain these basic needs and have the security and freedom to put our energy into realizing our best selves.

See, for most of us it’s a lifelong process. Truthfully, may of us may not even be ready to think this way at all because we are still working on our other needs. If that’s you I want you to know that’s perfectly ok because it’s all part of your journey to becoming that Woman! So, maybe you want your relationships to be more fulfilling, or even before you can get there you need to feel safe again in the world after surviving something traumatic. Or maybe you feel like everything is perfectly fine but are asking yourself why you don’t feel better about life or yourself? Whatever the case may be or whatever your version of being a Self-Actualized Woman (or girl), She is in you already! I am here to support you through individual, couple or family therapy and can’t wait to witness your growth!
