I'm a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist with seven years of experience in social work and mental health. During this time, I've had the pleasure of working with diverse populations including students, young professionals, detainees, those living with HIV/AIDS throughout all stages of adolescence and adulthood, and couples and families of diverse ethnic backgrounds.

My practice focus is on ages 15 and older and common concerns I help my clients with include but aren't limited to the following:

  • career decisions
  •  life transitions such as starting college, entering the workforce, change in relationship status
  • grief
  • depression, anxiety or other mental health challenges
  •  living with HIV/AIDS
  •  family and/or relationship challenges
  • personality disorders
  • victims/survivors of DV
  • culturally competent therapy for Latinos

Being a Latina myself and a second-generation immigrant, I also enjoy working with the Hispanic/Latinx community to provide any one of my services in Spanish. I grew up in a bilingual home, and have first hand knowledge of Latino culture, values, and struggles. Part of my practice is dedicated to aiding immigrants (Hispanic/Latinx or other) by working with your immigration attorney and providing him or her with a report after we have met for a psychosocial assessment. If you or a loved one is an immigrant applying for an extreme hardship waiver, or citizenship status under the Violence Against Women's Act (VAWA), be sure to scroll down my Services page to read more about how I can assist you.)

You may be wondering a little more about me. I feel great satisfaction and a personal calling to support others in feeling and living better, with themselves, their loved ones, and seeing them grow into their potential. On my free time, I may be spending time with husband and loved ones, playing with my puppy, singing along to my favorite music, or lounging around eating chocolate!

If you have any questions about the therapy process, what to expect, or if we would be a good fit to work together, please do not hesitate to contact me for a free 15 minute phone consultation. You can reach me directly by following this link below.
